Jessica Cheung, M.D.

Dr. Cheung is a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) Fellow Physician at CARS and a clinical instructor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UConn Health. As a fellow within our practice, you may see Dr. Jessica Cheung at points during your care, however, new patient appointments cannot be scheduled with Fellows. Please refer to our lead physicians for patient appointment scheduling.

Fluent in English and Cantonese Chinese, she specializes in all aspects of fertility care with a special focus on endometriosis.

Dr. Cheung earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon and obtained her medical degree (MD) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Abington Memorial Hospital where she earned several awards, including the SREI Resident Award for Excellence in REI and the AUGS Resident Award for Excellence in Urogynecology.

Dr. Cheung is active in research and has presented her work in national conferences, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Scientific Congress 2023, and has published in academic journals including Fertility and Sterility. Her current research interests include understanding infertility related to endometriosis and enhancing outcomes of embryo transfer cycles. She is collaborating with the renowned Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine, employing innovative single-cell biology techniques to unravel the disease process of endometriosis.

In her clinical practice, Dr. Cheung is dedicated to providing equitable fertility care, particularly in regard to the LGBQT community and individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
