IVF Fertilization

The IVF Process

The process of in vitro fertilization (IVF) allows our fertility specialists to fertilize mature eggs outside of the body to help overcome infertility. As you begin your IVF journey with us, we will prescribe a series of hormone injections to help stimulate the ovaries and increase egg production.

Once mature eggs have been collected, we will fertilize them with sperm in our state-of-the-art IVF laboratory. Your partner can provide a sperm sample, or we can use donor sperm. Once fertilized, your embryos will be monitored in our lab for several days to ensure they are developing into a multi-cell embryo, called a blastocyst. They will then be graded, and the strongest, most viable embryo will be transferred back into the uterus for implantation.

Throughout the IVF process, your body’s reaction to the medications will be closely monitored by our fertility specialists as we work towards a successful outcome. Our specialists are here to support you and ensure that you have the resources you need to grow your family.

Am I a Good Candidate for IVF?

There are many different reasons to seek IVF in order to meet your family-building goals. The Center is proud to support all couples and individuals throughout fertility treatment, including members of our LGBTQ+ community.

You may be a good candidate for IVF if:

  • You are over 35 and have been struggling to conceive for at least six months.
  • You are under 35 and have been struggling to conceive for at least 12 months.
  • You are over 40 and have been struggling to conceive for at least 3 months.
  • You and your partner are unable to conceive on your own.
  • You are a single parent who would like to have a child.
  • You have a condition that affects your fertility, such as endometriosis or PCOS.

Before starting IVF with us, we will recommend fertility testing. This helps us better understand any underlying reasons why you have been unable to conceive and helps us determine your individualized IVF treatment plan.
